All of us that live in this wonderful city, think of course, that everyone else would want to live in Nashville, but a new study by Harris Interactive Poll, puts it in writing. Nashville ranks No. 7 in the poll that lists 10 of the most popular US cities. In all fairness, though, we did tie with Atlanta (sigh).
With so much negativity in the real estate market and the economy in general lately, I have been getting a lot of questions about how “motivated” my sellers are. I’ve received plenty of “low-ball” offers on my properties, and have in turn, submitted some “low-ball” offers on behalf of my clients. I’m not saying that there isn’t a time to submit a low offer, or that a full price offer is the way to go either.

Tsk, tsk, tsk, another Nashville spec home bites the dust. The latest victim is 943 Tyne Blvd. Nashville, in the highly sought-after neighborhood of Oak Hill. This behemoth of a home was completed in August of 2008, which means yes, that it has been on the market for over two years, with no offers, and it was actually listed before it was completed. Listed for a cool $4.9MM, then reduced a drastic $1MM to $3.9MM where it continued to sit…and well you know the rest- here it is, on the auction block.
