Nashville’s housing market continues to increase in new home sales, as more and more people move to the city.
The city had a population growth of 2.3% in 2008, and continues to grow. As more people move to the city, more new homes are built and sold. The Nashville market is regarded as one of the healthiest in the nation, since it has felt less effect from the economic downturn. Hanley Wood rated the market as the 11th healthiest for 2009 because of its resilience to the downed economy.
With a stable housing price and growing job market, Nashville continues to experience increased housing sales with 8,142 in 2008. As more and more musicians and families move to the area, Nashville will continue to see increased home sales.
